Newman Hall, Cardiff
Colum Road, Cardiff, CF10 3UN
Right next to the idyllic Bute Park, Newman Hall is a home away from home for Cardiff students.
Newman Hall was not founded for financial gain nor even as a philanthropic enterprise. Newman Hall is a Catholic community at the heart of Cardiff City’s rich and diverse University culture. It is a meeting place for students and academics alongside the Sisters of Nazareth and residents of Nazareth House, whose life we also share.
Newman Hall is also home to the Oratorian community of St. Philip Neri. This community information has two principle apostolates: the proclamation of the Word of God and celebration of the Mass as well as the daily opportunity for the Sacrament of Confession; and the pastoral care of the whole Catholic community that gathers for Mass at the University Church at Nazareth House.
Cardiff University is five minutes walk and the University of South Wales and Royal Welsh College are just up the road.
Choose from a range of fully furnished en-suite bedrooms. Newman Hall also has a large student kitchen, library and living room. There is 24-hour access with a secure coded entry as well as CCTV for student safety. Two-course meals are provided 6 days a week in the Refectory.
Secure parking is available for an additional fee of £50 per term.
Newman Hall has its own Church, the Little Oratory with access to students from 9am-9pm daily as well as the University Church with access for Mass and prayer each day.
Rooms from £108 per week, all rooms en-suite with WiFi throughout the house. The price includes all bills, electricity, water, and internet with 2-course meals provided each week during term time on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday evening as well as Wednesday & Sunday lunchtime.
