Security and welfare is a priority for DIGS, Storthes Hall Park is fitted with 24 hour CCTV and on site security team to take away any worries you have at any time of day or night.

Storthes Hall is broken down into blocks of flats. This year our event team have put together a programme of events/games to create block vs block on site. Winning points for your block by taking part (or even just cheering friends on), there is no better way to come together as a flat and win some prizes throughout the year.

Storthes Hall is happy to introduce the newly refurbished venue, boasting 4 areas for you to enjoy.

The venue is the social hub of Storthes Hall Park; it has a fully stocked bar, with weekly events ran by the student experience team. The events range from keep fit Zumba to club nights and anything in between.

At the bar you can grab a drink and experience a taste of our new food menu. With chefs cooking fresh food on your doorstep it is perfect for those days when you simply don’t want to cook. For the larger events organised by the team you will experience the club room. Attached to the bar with a dancefloor, lights and DJ booth what better place to enjoy an evening with your flatmates?

As well as the high octane nights out, chill out time is important. With a large projector, comfortable seats and black out windows there’s no better place to put your feet up and watch a film in the dedicated cinema room. Organised regularly and the films decided by you – here you can get the full flat together (and more) for a film.

If you’re into gaming, the gaming suite is for you. There are 3 70” TV’s hooked up to both Playstation and XBOX with the latest games and arm chairs to make gaming marathons comfier than ever. As a Storthes Hall resident you can access this facility 24/7.

Not only does the venue cater for the leisure activities whilst at university, there is a new 24 hour study room with comfortable areas to sit and work to cater for the nitty gritty. Use computers, access the remote university desktop and get out of your university room. Sometimes a change of scenery is all you need to get the creativity flowing.

The Venue isn’t all Storthes can offer you, Healthworks is the on site gym. Open 24/7, easy to access and free for all residents; Healthworks will help you stay fit and healthy whilst at university. As well as this, Healthworks hosts a personal trainer weekly to give inductions, tips and tricks to all in need.
