Your New Home in the Scottish Capital
Arran House is one of the three residences we have in Edinburgh. It’s just a 20-minute walk from the University of Edinburgh and Napier University, and a 25-minute bus ride from Heriot-Watt University. So whichever one you’re studying at, getting there will be nice and simple.
The very heart of the city is a 20-minute stroll away. So the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street (the main shopping area), Edinburgh Waverley train station, and countless other landmarks, are virtually on your doorstep. There’s always something to do or see in your spare time.

Choose Your Room
Arran House has a few options for you.
Want to share an apartment with a few other students? We can give you an ensuite room in a 3,4, 5, 6 or 7-bed flat. You’ll have a blast.
Prefer your own space? If so we can hook you up with a studio room – which is yours and yours only!
Whichever room you choose, it’ll be fully furnished and ready for you to move straight into. All our rooms have small or full-sized double beds, loads of smart storage space, and big study desks so you can fit all those textbooks or games consoles right in there.

What Your Rent Will Get You
Whether you choose an ensuite room in a shared apartment (2-7 bedroom) or have a studio all to yourself, here’s what your rent will cover:
– All the furniture you need
– All your water, gas and electricity paid for
– As much use of the heating as you want (a lifesaver in a coastal town like Edinburgh!)

Student Life at Arran House
We haven’t even mentioned the best bit about Arran House yet! The team! Stuart, John, and Elena are there to help you settle into life in Edinburgh. We put on regular events for our students like games, quiz and movie nights. From free tea and coffee to keep you warm on the way to uni, to an on-site maintenance team to make sure everything’s as it should be in your room. We’ve got you covered. Life at Arran House couldn’t be easier!
