Private residential halls for students – Great accommodation around the country

Posted on October 1, 2015 by Ceri in Private Halls, Rental Advice

One of the regular features we return to on the Private Halls blog is the impressive quality of residential halls for students that are available.

However, from some recent coverage in the national press it may appear that most of the luxury private halls are found in London but that is not strictly speaking the case.

All university towns and cities in the UK have excellent provision of quality private residential halls for students that offer high levels of rental accommodation.

This has been underlined to us by a recent story of some new private halls of residence that have opened in Leeds that, as the article makes clear, makes other university digs look like a ‘squat’.

There cannot be many private halls where there is a top hatted doorman to greet residents and visitors alike at an enviable address in the city centre!

The ground floor of the private residential halls for students has an impressive cafeteria with a range of coffees and snacks to be enjoyed in modern surroundings.

The most impressive part, however, are the rooms which have been furnished to high standards with modern furnishings.

All rooms come with a king-size bed and flatscreen TVs, desks, cupboards and lots of storage.

For many former students the level of quality on offer is simply lavish and bears little resemblance to what many people would believe student accommodation is.

The developers have spent around £15 million to provide ‘superior quality’ student accommodation and this is an excellent top end development.

Private residential student complex is ‘a boutique hotel’

To put the firm’s offering into context, everything about this private residential student complex is on a par with a boutique hotel.

There are 131 apartments which come in three offerings with the highest spec option being available for couples to rent.

As with all private student residential halls, the rent is all-inclusive of bills and includes broadband.
In addition to the cafeteria, where residents can enjoy a complimentary breakfast every day, there are also study rooms, a cinema on site and there’s also a gym that comes with personal trainers.

Prices for this level of luxury will cost student tenants between £140 and £260 a week.

A spokesman for the private student residential halls are said they were meeting a particular level of demand, particularly from international students.

As we stated at the top of this article, quality private residential halls for students are available all around the country not just in the capital and are offering excellent accommodation for students who want to live somewhere special.
